My husband purchased our first LED unit Model 71134 from Home Depot on 12/10/09 and it failed on 12/20/10, only days after he had purchased 3 more units on 12/9/10 (because the LED lights were brighter than the our old Amerelle incandescent bulb type units he purchased in 2008, note, NiCd batteries lasted 3-years and units are no longer sold. He purchased & installed two new 2/3AA batteries [$0.57 each) purchased from Batteries In A Flash. Two new LED units failed within 6 months and the last LED unit just failed in 5/11. Troubleshooting showed that the charging and the auto turn-on circuity failed, not the two NiCd batteries. RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, BUT IF YOU DO, SAME THE RECIPT & PACKAGING SO YOU CAN RETURN THE DEFECTIVE UNITS TO HOME DEPOT WITHIN 90 DAYS. NOTE, THE MODEL 71134CC MODEL OFERED AT AMAZON MAY HAVE FIXED OUR MODEL 71134 PROBLEMS.
