Star Wars: Battlefront 3 rumours may have surfaced recently, but LucasArts itself could be planning an all out assault on the games industry after a fairly quiet period since The Force Unleashed 2.
"LucasArts is building a large scale online services and infrastructure to support a new way of connected online gaming that is going to revolutionize the industry," claims a new job ad. "This position is one of the most senior positions and plays a critical part in the success of the online group at LucasArts," it continues.
Could the developer be planning a Steam or cloud-gaming-style service?
LucasArts is also looking for a Graphics Engineer and Senior Tools Engineer? for an "Action/ Adventure Title" with the person specification stating "experience with cinematic action adventure games is a plus."
We knew that much from previous vacancies - but LucasArts seems fixed on a next-gen release too:
"In your role, you will be working on establishing the benchmark for in-game graphics on future console and PC hardware with a team of talented artists and engineers."
Could it be another Force Unleashed? Will Far Cry 2/Splinter Cell dev Clint Hocking be involved? And will it launch on PS4 or Next Xbox?
